Frank Papworth Awarded Guy Parker Award for Best Paper
Mr Papworths paper "Concrete Durability Design for Desalination Plants" was selected by Australian Water Association for best paper published in 2009 based on originality, relevance and presentation. Copies are available through and BCRC office.
CIA's Durability Committee Sets Goal of Six Current Practice Notes
Mr Papworth, Chairman of the CIA committee on concrete durability, announced that the committee has recommended that six documents be produced covering, planning, design, construction, modelling, cracking and performance tests. The committee is in the process of establishing Task Groups to prepare these documents.

F.Papworth to Chair CIA's 1 Day Seminar on Cracking
Following Mr Papworths publication on cracks and crack control in "Concrete in Australia" and his presentation on cracking at workshops around Australia for Concrete Institute of Australia he will chair the one day seminar and workshop on cracking in Perth on 11th March 2010.
BCRC Joins fib National Member Group
